Sam wrote “This vortex shawl was knit using hand dyed merino wool in the film noir colourway by Hedgehog.” Sam was inspired by Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials series [1] where the lace shawl represents the 'D.U.S.T.' surrounding the adults. Sam spent over 50 hours knitting this shawl, the yarn cost $70.00 and she would be happy with a minimum bid of $50.00.
