We understand that life happens. You may request forgiveness of overdue fines by applying to the Library Director and explaining your circumstances.
What to Include in Your Request
- Full name
- Contact information (email and/or phone number)
- Library card number
- A brief explanation of your circumstances
How to Submit
You can submit your request in one of two ways:
- In person: Fill out a paper form at the front desk during library hours.
- By email: Send the information above to deplib@princerupertlibrary.ca
Note: Fines forgiveness applies to overdue fines only. It does not cover lost or damaged item replacement fees.
Children and Teens - Read Away Your Fines
Children and teens using their own cards can read away fines at the rate of $1.00 per 15 minutes of reading. Sign up at the front desk during open hours.
